Artist's Description

I painted this from a photograph I took of the ground whilst walking around the stunning thermal area of Oraeki Korako, near Taupo. I loved the colours and textures of the white and ochre rocks and twigs 'Underfoot' - hence the name of the painting!

About Jackie Sherwood

Jackie Sherwood

I am an Australian artist, currently living in Greece, but travelling between Australia, New Zealand, Greece and France and wherever else takes my fancy in between! I work mostly in acrylics and also collage, and love using black linework as well. I aim to capture the feeling of the places I visit, and am inspired by water, rooftops, boats and anything else that gives off the essense of the country I'm visiting.
